About The Shame of Rock and Roll / Pop Art Editions

"Please buy something so I don't have to go back to work."

Who?

I am a guy named Lee Jobe with a whole bunch of posters, a pleasant demeanor, a sharp eye, a heroic work ethic and not nearly enough free time.

Why? How?

The Shame of Rock and Roll was formed in early Fall, 2000 - pretty much by accident. A strange convergence of involuntary unemployment, lingering existential crisis, and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire fairly inexpensively a couple of hundred posters caused me to dream of a self-sufficient existence, free of the grind of workaday life.

So How Did That Work Out For Ya, There?

Okay, I suppose. Exactly one year later, I realized that I was sweating a $25 utility bill. Fuck that. I got a job-type job to supplement. Between work and sleep, I managed to get the poster orders out and new product in. I just never had time to expand the thing, though...

Now What?

So, long story short, after 5 years of the job, I quit to go back into the magic poster hole. And here we are, broke and back to normal.

Things that you should know about me and TSORR.

1) I package your order myself, and I package it like I'm sending it home from a foreign country.

2) I'm really, really busy most of the time. I hate to have orders stacking up that need to be processed or pulled or shipped etc. Most domestic orders go out in 24 hours. Internationals usually take a couple of extra days 'cause they're a pain in the ass to pack (no free USPS boxes, for one thing!). Nothing ever sits around for more than 3 days, unless there's a problem with the order. In that case, I'm already trying to get a hold of you to get it straightened out.

3) I respond to your inquiries as quickly as possible, usually pretty damn close to immediately. I check my email constantly and have a pretty good idea what I've got in inventory, even if I'm not at the TSORR office.

4) If I'm sold out of something or you're looking for something special, send me an email. I keep a folder of those and go through them often. I probably fill about 20% of special requests and about 75% of out of stock orders eventually.
Also - I have a ton of stuff that has never made it to the site. Slightly damaged, unclassifiable, stashed stuff etc. Who knows? I might have it, somewhere, underneath all of this...

5) If you are unhappy, I want to know about it so that I can fix the problem right now. I have absolutely no desire but to make you happy.

6) I truly appreciate that you've come to me, a stranger on the internet with your hard-earned money. I respect that and will treat you fairly and honestly.

7) I'm a collector/obsessive hoarder, too. I love to talk about art and music. Feel free to ask all the questions that you want about my stock or anything else.

Contact me if you've got a concern re: TSORR (or want to donate Sex Pistols collectibles, boxed Spice Girls Dolls or rare, expensive Fine Art books).

Please Be Cool.
